Why is it that the person at the forefront who works relentlessly to fulfill a clear mandate, who carries the burden of leadership with purpose and diligence is often the one whose legacy is quietly sabotaged by those closest to them? While the leader remains focused on delivering results, some of their supporters or subordinates seem more interested in gestures that do more harm than good. These are the kinds of actions that inflate the irrelevant and give undue attention to things that should barely make the news.
