In a disturbing revelation, Yoruba culture has been rated as one of the lowest among all cultures, sparking concerns about the lack of seriousness with which Yoruba people treat their heritage. This was the submission of Abiodun Adeyanju, guest speaker at the Yoruba Broadcasters Association (YBA) Ekiti State Chapter event held today in Ado Ekiti.   The Nigerian film industry was plunged into mourning on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, following the passing of renowned Yoruba actor Yusuf Olorungbebe.  Reports indicate that Olorungbebe had been battling a chronic illness before his death. Fellow actor Foluke Daramola confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: "We lost Yusuf Olorungbebe.  We submit to God's will." Daramola had previously solicited support for Olorungbebe, hoping to help him overcome his health challenges.
