Ekiti Future Agenda to Honour SWAN South West Vice President Ayodeji Ogunsakin The Ekiti Future Agenda (EFA) has announced plans to honour the National Vice President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), South West Zone, Ayodeji Ogunsakin, with the award of Emerging Leader in Sports Broadcast Journalism . Ogunsakin, who heads the Sports Unit and serves as Manager of News and Current Affairs at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ado Ekiti, will receive the award alongside other distinguished Ekiti sons and daughters at the organisation’s 16th anniversary celebration.   SWAN @ 62: Ekiti Sports Writers Tour Facilities, Laud Oyebanji’s Youth-Focused Drive In commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), the Ekiti State chapter undertook a guided tour of major sports facilities across the state, led by the Technical Adviser on Sports Development to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Dr Mrs Olusola Osetoba. The tour commenced at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti, which is currently undergoing refurbishment, where sports journalists were briefed on the scope and purpose of the ongoing upgrade. SWAN Ekiti Chapter Celebrates Chairman's Appointment, Commends State Government

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ekiti State Chapter, has congratulated its Chairman, Alhaji Qozeem Oladapo, on his appointment to the board of the State Sports Development Trust Fund. In a statement signed by secretary Bisi Ogunleye, SWAN described the appointment as well-deserved, citing Oladapo's dedication and commitment to sports development and reportage in the state. The association prayed for wisdom and understanding for Oladapo to excel in his new role and pledged to continue promoting sports growth and development in Ekiti State. SWAN also celebrated the appointments of two other journalists: Chief Laolu Omosilade as Chairman, BSES Board, and Mrs. Fatimah Bello as a member of the Ekiti State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board. The body of sports journalists commended the Ekiti State government for recognizing their professionalism and expertise, assuring that they will justify the confidence reposed in them.

SWAN Ekiti Chapter Releases Electoral Schedule, Fixes Prices for Forms

The electoral committee of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ekiti state chapter, has announced the schedule for the upcoming election.  In a statement signed by Chairman Raphael Ogbonaiye and Secretary Radius Famobio, the committee outlined the key dates and fees for the electoral process. The sale of forms will commence on Monday, September 2, and close on Thursday, September 12. Screening of candidates is scheduled for September 18. The committee has fixed the prices for forms as follows: - Chairmanship: ₦10,000 - Deputy Chairmanship: ₦8,000 - Secretary: ₦8,000 - Assistant Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, and Welfare Officer: ₦6,000 each The committee urges all SWAN members in Ekiti state to adhere to the schedule and follow the instructions carefully to ensure a smooth electoral process.
