The Ekiti Future Agenda (EFA) has announced plans to honour the National Vice President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), South West Zone, Ayodeji Ogunsakin, with the award of Emerging Leader in Sports Broadcast Journalism.

According to the organisers, the recognition is in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to sports journalism, his professional character, and his unwavering commitment to excellence — qualities they say reflect the enduring values that make Ekiti a beacon of hope.

The Convener of Ekiti Future Agenda, Adesina Adetola, disclosed that the anniversary event, themed “EKITI KETE: Sustaining Our Values, Re-Igniting the Spirit of Our Forebears,” will bring together eminent Ekiti indigenes at home and in the diaspora.

The ceremony is scheduled to hold on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex, Ado-Ekiti.
