The Ekiti State chapter of the Nigerian Red Cross Society has announced plans to establish a medical bay at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti. The initiative, aimed at enhancing athlete welfare, is set to complement the state government’s ongoing efforts to improve sports infrastructure and health services for athletes in the state. Dr. Tunde Ajayi, Chairman of the Red Cross Society’s Ekiti State chapter, revealed that the development is dedicated to the memory of the late Hon. Justice Lawrence Sunday Awe, a former branch chairman of the association. He also said that it was sponsored by the family of the late honourable justice.
