PAOC2024: TROPHIES UNVEILING SHOWCASES SPORTS BRANDING, IMPROVED MARKETABILITY

The Organizing Committee of the Professor Akin Oyebode Cup 2024 has unveiled the trophies and medals for the upcoming competition in an unprecedented manner.

A short video released earlier on Wednesday across the social media pages of the tournament showcased two championship trophies, one for the male category and one for the female category, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Sharp and bright images of the items were displayed in an attractive manner, stealing the attention of viewers.

This style, is an evidence of what football or sports branding generally is suppose to look like, an idea that has not been common in the football ecosystem in Ekiti state.

Unlike Europe and many other parts of the world, the positive effects of branding and packaging in football and sports have been waved aside due to lack of interest.

However, organizers of the PAOC 2024 have taken it upon themselves to leverage on proper branding to improve the marketability of the competition.

The Under 15 football competition, featuring boys and girls from across Ekiti State, is set to kick off on August 31 with an opening match between Ikole and Emure Local Football Councils.

The 16 local football councils in the state have been grouped into four, with subsequent fixtures to take place at various centers as arranged by the Organizing Committee.

The unveiling of the trophies and medals is a testament to the promising competition ahead, and the Organizing Committee is eager to host a successful tournament.

With the Professor Akin Oyebode Cup 2024 just around the corner, football enthusiasts in Ekiti State are in for an exciting treat.
