EMURE STARS SHINE BRIGHT: Make Team of the Week

CAPTAIN, EMURE U-15, JIMOH IYANU

In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Emure local government's U15 team players, Jimoh Iyanu and Ogundeji Kehinde, have been selected for the Team of the Week after Match Week One of the prestigious Professor Akin Oyebode cup.

Their outstanding performances helped Emure defeat Ikole 3-0 in the opening match, with Iyanu scoring from the spot and leading the team with his captain's armband. 

Kehinde also scored, ensuring a convincing win for the Engineer Bayo Àjàyí boys.

Also, the tactical brilliance of Emure's Chief Coach, Olanrewaju Idowu earned him the Coach of the Week award, recognizing his key role in his team's success.

Emure is not the only local government with multiple players on the best 11 list, as Ado, Aiyekire, and Oye also boast two players each. 

Meanwhile, Efon, Irepodun/Ifelodun, and Ikere local governments have one player each on the coveted list.

The Professor Akin Oyebode cup 2024 continues, with more exciting matches and opportunities for young talent to shine. Congratulations to Iyanu and Kehinde on their well-deserved recognition!
