Girls bring excitement to Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup 2024 as teams set for semi-finals

 


The Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup 2024 is set for a  thrilling semi-finals stage, with the girls' teams expected to bring an exciting dimension to the competition. The boys' teams, who started from the group stage, have also been narrowed down to the last four contenders.

The inclusion of the girls' teams underscores the sponsor's commitment to fostering inclusive and diverse football development in Ekiti State, truly democratising opportunities and empowering female footballers.

The semi-final matchups scheduled for Sunday, September 29th promise to deliver electrifying football action. In the girls' fixtures, Oye LG Ladies will face off against Ire/Ifelodun LG Ladies at the Aiyetoro Center. Meanwhile, Ikole LG Ladies will clash with their Ijero LG counterpart at Ikere Ekiti match center.

In the boys' semi-finals, Oye LG boys and their Efon LG counterpart will trade tackles at the Ikere Ekiti match center for a place in the finals, while Ekiti West LG boys will face Ikere LG boys at Aiyetoro match center in the second semi-final match.

The semi-finals will set the stage for the highly anticipated finals. Organizers have assured fans of an unforgettable experience, with top-notch branding and football environment.

In the letter addressed to the Association and the general public, Omoyeni stated that his decision was taken to enable him pursue other life opportunities and further his professional career.
