OSETOBA COMMENDS GOV OYEBANJI AS TEAM EKITI SHINES AT NATIONAL YOUTH GAMES ZONAL ELIMINATION

 


The technical Advisor on sports to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Dr Mrs Olusola Osetoba had praised the efforts of the governor on ensuring that sports thrive in Ekiti state.

Ekiti State's representatives at the recently concluded National Youth Games Zonal Elimination in Osogbo, Osun State, have returned home with impressive results.

In her reaction, Osetoba expressed joy and pride in the team's achievements, promising more rewards for the athletes and coaches.

She urged the team to remain focused on their ultimate goal of winning gold at the National Youth Games, explaining that they must pay the governor's efforts with medals when the main games commence.

The team qualified for 5 ball games, including Male & Female Beach Volleyball, Male Hockey, Female Handball, Male Volleyball, and Female Cricket.

The coaches and athletes dedicated their victories to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, praising his unwavering support despite the global economic challenges. 

They commended the governor's open-door policy and commitment to sports development, promising to work harder to win more laurels at the National Youth Games in Asaba.

The team has arrived in Ado Ekiti and will begin preparations for the National Youth Games, scheduled to hold from September 9th to 21st.
