Very Dark Man Vs FALZ

Falz Threatens Legal Action Over Defamatory Allegations

Lagos, Nigeria - Renowned Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has taken legal action against social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, over defamatory allegations.

Falz's legal team, led by human rights lawyer Femi Falana, issued a formal letter demanding a retraction of the allegations and a public apology within 24 hours.

The controversy surrounds claims made by VeryDarkMan that Falz was involved in a scheme to secure a presidential pardon for embattled socialite, Bobrisky, who faces Naira abuse charges. VeryDarkMan alleged that Falz extorted N15 million from Bobrisky.

However, Falz's lawyers deny these allegations, stating that their client never initiated a conversation with Bobrisky and did not agree to assist him financially.

According to documents, Bobrisky requested N3 million from Falz to pay correctional centre officials for VIP treatment, but Falz advised him that such payments were unnecessary.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has also launched an investigation into claims that their operatives demanded and received N15 million from Bobrisky to drop money laundering charges.

Falz's legal team characterized VeryDarkMan's post as "vicious, wicked, and reckless" and threatened to seek "appropriate legal remedies, including monetary damages" if the allegations are not retracted.

This development highlights the importance of verifying information before sharing it on social media to avoid spreading false information and damaging reputations.

The incident has sparked widespread debate on social media, with many calling for accountability and an end to spreading false information.
