AFCON 2025: Nigeria Drawn in Group C with Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania

 


The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in Group C for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania. 

The tournament is set to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

This group promises an intense contest, especially as Nigeria seeks redemption against Tunisia, a team that knocked them out of the 2022 AFCON Round of 16. 

The Super Eagles, who were runners-up in the last edition held in Côte d’Ivoire, aim to secure their fourth AFCON title.

Tunisia, known for their tactical discipline, will pose a significant challenge, while Uganda and Tanzania are expected to bring determination and a hunger to make their mark on Africa’s biggest football stage.

The tournament will feature 24 teams split across six groups. 

Other notable group matchups include Morocco in Group A, Egypt and South Africa in Group B, and defending champions Senegal in Group D.

The Super Eagles’ fans will eagerly watch how the team performs under the pressure of high expectations. Their first match schedule and further updates are anticipated as preparations intensify.
