The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official emblem for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, marking a major milestone ahead of Africa's premier football event.
The emblem, which celebrates African heritage and unity, reflects the spirit of togetherness that the tournament aims to inspire.
The unveiling sets the stage for an exciting countdown to the event, which kicks off on December 21, 2025, and runs until January 18, 2026.
This will be the second time Morocco hosts AFCON, having last done so in 1988.
The country is preparing world-class facilities, including iconic stadiums such as Casablanca's Mohammed V Stadium and the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.
Extensive infrastructure development is underway, including transportation networks and accommodations, ensuring fans have seamless access and a memorable experience.
The tournament will feature 24 teams, and the official draw, scheduled for January 27, 2025, in Rabat, will reveal the group-stage lineups.
Morocco's national team, the Atlas Lions, will aim to secure a title on home soil after their historic performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where they became the first African team to reach the semi-finals.
With a rich history dating back to 1957, the AFCON remains a celebration of African talent and culture. Morocco's hosting of recent global tournaments, including the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, underscores its readiness for this prestigious event.
The TotalEnergies AFCON Morocco 2025 is expected to captivate over 1.5 billion viewers worldwide and solidify the continent's standing in global football.
