Vicolas Group Unveils Mini Stadiums in Ekiti to Harness Street Football Talent

In a bid to nurture raw football talent and provide safer avenues for aspiring players, Vicolas Group of Companies has reiterated it's commitments to creating a viable platform via it's 7-a-side mini stadiums in Ekiti State.

This initiative, spearheaded by the company's CEO, Mr. Victor Ibitoye, aims to transform street football by offering modern facilities and structured environments.

Speaking to journalists in Ado Ekiti, Mr. Ibitoye, a successful entrepreneur and passionate football enthusiast, highlighted the need to replace unsafe roadside games with secure, well-equipped mini stadia.

"On the streets, there are no rules, no supervision, no security, and no proper facilities. These conditions are far from ideal for nurturing talent," he said.

The facilities, including the "Ball and Ball" stadiums at Petim Adebayo and Are Afao, provide young footballers with opportunities to play in organized settings.

Mr. Ibitoye emphasized that the initiative not only promotes sports but also keeps youths away from social vices.

"This project is about more than just business. It’s a means of empowering young people through football, entertainment, and hospitality," he added, citing other ventures like Item 7 eateries and Vicolas Bakeries as part of the group’s holistic vision.

Vicolas however, called on the public, especially the youth in Ekiti, to embrace the initiative and leverage the platform to hone their skills and build promising futures.
