Dr. (Mrs.) Olusola Osetoba, the Technical Advisor on Sports Development to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, conducted an inspection of the ongoing regrassing and refurbishment work at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti earlier today.
The visit aimed to assess the progress of the renovation project, which is expected to enhance the quality of sporting infrastructure in the state.
During the inspection, Dr. Osetoba commended the engineers and workers on-site for their dedication and professionalism in executing the project.
She expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far and reiterated the state government's commitment to developing world-class sports facilities that will benefit athletes and sports enthusiasts in Ekiti.
Following the stadium inspection, Dr. Osetoba took time to visit the state's volleyball and handball teams, as well as para-athletes, who are currently preparing for the upcoming National Sports Festival.
She encouraged the athletes to remain focused and dedicated to their training, assuring them of the government's continuous support in their quest for excellence.
As a gesture of goodwill, Dr. Osetoba also provided the athletes with a token for refreshments, emphasizing the importance of their well-being and motivation.
She reaffirmed the Oyebanji administration’s vision of promoting sports development in Ekiti and ensuring that athletes receive the necessary resources to compete at the highest level.
