VDM Confronts Man Defecating on Lagos Bridge

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has confronted a man who was caught defecating openly on a bridge in Lagos State.

According to VDM, he was returning from Ghana and spotted the disturbing scene while driving from the airport. In a video posted on his verified Facebook page, the activist recorded the young man, who was half-naked and defecating in full public view.

Visibly angered, VDM spoke to the man in Hausa, though it was unclear whether the individual understood or shared the same background. He also expressed disappointment at passersby who witnessed the act and did nothing to stop it.

He used the incident to highlight the problem of public indifference and the need for shared responsibility in building a better society. He said situations like this contribute to Lagos being perceived as dirty and poorly maintained.

VDM called on Nigerians to adopt better hygiene, uphold moral standards, and challenge behaviour that degrades public spaces. The video has since stirred conversations online, with many supporting his call for civic responsibility.
