Ekiti United FC Clinches NLO League Centre, Earns Playoff Spot

Ekiti United FC has emerged as the winner of the Ijebu Ode centre in the ongoing Nationwide League One (NLO) campaign, securing a place in the playoff stage following a commanding 3-1 victory over Living Voice FA.

The match got off to a flying start with Hakeem Amuda finding the back of the net in the opening minute and doubling the lead just six minutes later. Ekiti United controlled the tempo for much of the first half, heading into the break with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.

Living Voice FA managed to pull one back in the second half, but their momentum was short-lived as an own goal widened the gap once more, effectively sealing the win for Ekiti United. The triumph capped off a strong group stage run, during which the team remained unbeaten.

Head Coach Salau Rotimi commended the players for their determination and team spirit. He credited their success to unity and divine favour, while also appreciating the support from the Ekiti State Government, led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji. Special acknowledgment was given to the Technical Adviser for Sports Development, Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, and other key sports stakeholders in the state.

With their eyes now on the playoffs, Ekiti United FC is geared up to continue their impressive run and make their supporters proud.
