Dr. Olusola Osetoba holds the historic distinction of being Ekiti State’s first female Sports Administrator a woman of resilience, intellect, and visionary leadership. 

Her journey stands as a powerful testament to determination, excellence, and the breaking of barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Her unwavering commitment to sports development earned her the role of Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development. 

In a landmark move, she was later appointed Chairman of the Ekiti State Sports Council under the administration of former Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi becoming the first woman to occupy that position in the state’s history.

Today, Dr. Osetoba remains a symbol of pioneering excellence. Her leadership continues to inspire generations of Ekiti women and sports enthusiasts. 

She exemplifies integrity, purpose-driven service, and God-centered leadership.

We extend our appreciation to the pillar of sports in Ekiti, the Omoluabi of Ekiti State His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for appointing a round peg in a round hole. 

His continued investment in sports affirms its vital role as a tool for youth engagement and empowerment across the state.

Ekiti’s sports development has become a model worthy of national admiration.

Ekiti Govt Appoints Olawale Omoyeni as Grassroots Sports Media Aide (L-R) Omoyeni, Dr Osetoba  Popular media professional and member of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ekiti State Chapter, Olawale Omoyeni, has been appointed as Media Aide on Grassroots Sports by the Office of the Technical Adviser on Sports Development to Governor Biodun Oyebanji.   Olawale Omoyeni Resigns as Ekiti FA Media Officer Olawale Omoyeni has officially stepped down from his position as the Media Officer of the Ekiti State Football Association, as contained in a resignation letter dated January 19, 2026. In the letter addressed to the Association and the general public, Omoyeni stated that his decision was taken to enable him pursue other life opportunities and further his professional career. He expressed sincere appreciation to the Ekiti State Football Association for the privilege to serve and for the opportunity to contribute to the development of football in the state.
