ESFL2025: Ekiti United Feeders Slaughter on The Pitch

EKITI UNITED FEEDERS SECURE 2-0 WIN OVER LEADING FC IN ESFL 2025

The momentum continued for Ekiti United Feeders as they secured a commanding 2-0 victory over Leading FC of Ado Ekiti in their third group stage fixture at the ongoing Ekiti State Football League (ESFL) 2025.

The match, played under clear skies and in front of enthusiastic supporters, highlighted the growing confidence and cohesion of the team.

From kickoff, the Feeders dominated possession and dictated the tempo of the game. Their passes were crisp, movement purposeful, and the hunger to win was evident in every department of the squad.

It didn’t take long for the team to break the deadlock, as Taiwo Ogunkuade fired in a beautiful strike in the 29th minute after a well-orchestrated team move.

Not resting on their lead, the team returned from the halftime break even more determined. Their pressure paid off when Nasiru Jamiu doubled the tally in the 55th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by Leading FC to slot the ball calmly past the goalkeeper. The boys continued to press but were unlucky not to add more to their tally.

This latest result brings the team’s overall performance in the tournament to an impressive tally of eight goals scored in three matches, with zero goals conceded.

The defense line, marshaled by the ever-reliable back four and supported by the alertness of the goalkeeper, has been one of the key strengths of the campaign so far.

The Head Coach, Femi Kumuyi, deserves commendation for his consistent tactical brilliance. His reading of the game, formation adjustments, and timely substitutions have all contributed significantly to the team’s outstanding run. His ability to inspire discipline and teamwork has made a visible difference on and off the pitch.

Beyond the scoreline, the victory underscores the development and maturity of this young team. Their work ethic, unity, and composure under pressure speak volumes about the quality of training and mentoring they are receiving.

It also reflects the club’s commitment to nurturing grassroots talent and promoting competitive football in Ekiti State.

With this win, Ekiti United Feeders now sit firmly at the top of Group D, heading into their next clash against Harmony FC with confidence and a clear mission to finish the group stage with a 100 percent record.

Preparations are already underway, with the team focused on maintaining momentum and minimizing complacency.
