EKITI QUEENS PLAYER ODUNAYO OL A LEYE APOLOGISES AFTER MISSED PENALTY AS TEAM OFFERS SUPPORT
In the spirit of sportsmanship, Ekiti Queens Football Club player Odunayo Olaleye has apologized to the team after missing a penalty in the home fixture against Adamawa Queens.
Olaleye, in a message posted on the club’s official group, noted that she accepted full responsibility for the draw recorded at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti during the Match Day Two match of the Nigeria Women Football League.
However, her teammates and members of the technical crew dismissed any notion of personal blame, stating that the result reflected the effort of the entire squad rather than the actions of a single player.
They urged her to remain focused and affirmed that the burden of the draw must be carried by the whole team.
