Ekiti United Football Club players have presented a full tracksuit to their Media Officer, Blessing Akinyemi, popularly known as Benteke, in recognition of his professionalism throughout 2025.

The presentation took place at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, with team captain Seyi Akinyemi leading his two deputies in acknowledging their Benteke.

Players expressed immense joy and admiration for Akinyemi, highlighting his dedication in promoting both the team and its players throughout the year.

Described as yellow on deep blue, the tracksuit was presented as a token of appreciation for Benteke's unwavering commitment to managing the club’s media affairs.

Ekiti United, currently competing in the Nigeria National League, commended its media officer for consistently upholding high standards in communication and representation of the team.

The team emphasized that the gesture symbolized their gratitude for his role in enhancing the club’s visibility and reputation in the football community.

An emotional Akinyemi expressed deep appreciation for the recognition, promising that the gift will motivate him to continue delivering his best for Ekiti United.

In the letter addressed to the Association and the general public, Omoyeni stated that his decision was taken to enable him pursue other life opportunities and further his professional career. He expressed sincere appreciation to the Ekiti State Football Association for the privilege to serve and for the opportunity to contribute to the development of football in the state.
