The Emure Youths Forum recorded an active and engaging week of programmes between January 19 and January 25, as youths across the community participated in a series of activities designed to promote unity, empowerment, and community development.

The week-long engagement was coordinated by Omoba Yemi Ajiboye, who served as the Youth Coordinator for the period and expressed appreciation to the organisers of the forum for sustaining what he described as a unique and impactful youth-driven initiative.

Ajiboye, while addressing members of the platform, thanked participants for their commitment and encouraged them to remain steadfast in supporting programmes aimed at strengthening youth participation and development within Emure.

Activities for the week commenced on Monday with an Advertisement and Business Showcase, which provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to promote their businesses, while OluwaSeun anchored the session and selected the best advertisement of the day.

On Tuesday, the forum hosted a seminar session themed “Redefining Our Youth: A Tool to Community Development,” facilitated by Tosin Popoola and Omoba Yemi Ajiboye, where discussions centered on repositioning youths as catalysts for positive societal transformation.

The programme continued on Wednesday with the Ladies Crush and Cooking Tips segment, anchored by Khadijat Akinwale, which celebrated women while offering practical lifestyle and home management insights.

Thursday’s engagement featured an Old School and Men Crush (Politics Arena) discussion, as Adeyemi Ajayi and Ayobami Akintoye (PM) led conversations on the effectiveness of youth participation in party politics and the importance of political inclusion.

The week peaked on Friday with an interactive Question-and-Answer and Giveaway (TGIF) session anchored by Omoba Yemi Ajiboye alongside Ayodeji Abegunde (LACUSJAY), which boosted participation and enthusiasm among members.

Activities rounded off on Saturday with an Owambe and Life Tips session hosted by Oluwatoyin Peters (FADA), blending social interaction with motivational guidance and reflections on life experiences.

Members of the Emure Youths Forum have since commended the initiative, describing the outgone week as impactful and engaging, while reaffirming their commitment to supporting future programmes that promote youth development and community growth.
