Ekiti State Government Makes History with Chartered Flight for Ekiti Queens
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved a landmark first-ever chartered flight for Ekiti Queens to honour their NWFL Match Day 11 fixture in Yola.
The approval, conveyed through the Technical Adviser on Sports Development, Dr Mrs Olusola Osetoba, underscores the administration’s firm commitment to player welfare and safety.
The Baoress Babes are set to face Adamawa Queens in Yola, with the decision eliminating the dangers associated with the long and arduous road journey from Ado-Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji emphasised that he will not risk the lives of players and officials, especially considering prevailing security concerns along the travel route.
Ekiti Queens, currently sixth in Group A with 10 points from nine matches, will be aiming to build on the historic backing with a strong performance.
