Ekiti Queens Duo Earn National U-17 Call-Up
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has invited two players from Ekiti Queens FC as part of a 36-player squad for the national U-17 women’s team camp, the Flamingoes.
Defender Fayoke Akinola and defensive midfielder Endurance Omoraka were both listed among the selected players in the officially released document.
The invitation, confirmed through a stamped list signed by Team Secretary Arit Robert on behalf of the General Secretary, highlights their growing reputation.
Akinola’s inclusion comes on the back of her solid defensive displays, while Omoraka’s consistency in midfield continues to draw attention.
In his reaction to the development, head Coach Jacob Vandi explained that the girls selection selection represents a significant milestone for Ekiti Queens FC, reinforcing the club’s contribution to grassroots football development.
Recall that Coach Akeem Ishola Busari has been appointed by NFC to take charge of the Flamingoes, replacing former gaffer Bankole Olowookere.
However, the Ekiti Queens duo will now aim to impress in camp as they compete for places in the national team setup ahead of upcoming international engagements.
