EKITI UNITED FC PARTS WAYS WITH CHIEF COACH AKIN OLOWOKERE

  In a surprise move, Ekiti United Football Club has announced the departure of its Chief Coach, Akin Olowokere, effective immediately.  The decision was made by mutual agreement between the club's management and Coach Olowokere, citing personal reasons for his exit. AGBEYWA CUP: Ministry Of Education Commends Organizers, Finalists, Officials Get Colourful Kits

The four teams that will be in action on Tuesday October 29 at the finals of the second edition of Agbeyewa Ekiti Secondary schools Football Championship will be beautifully kitted. The assurance was given by the Director of Community Engagement of Agbeyewa Foundation, Alhaji Dauda Lawal (ADL) during the official presentation of jersey to the teams that will be slugging it out in the third place and final matches. The jersey which are of best quality and different colours were presented to officials of the teams in the presence of members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Ekiti State chapter led by it's Chairman, Qozeem Oladapo. POPOOLA TAKES HELM AS EKITI UNITED FC FEEDERS TEAM MEDIA OFFICER

Ekiti State Government has appointed journalist, Tosin Popoola, as Media Officer of the Ekiti United FC Feeders team. Dr. Olusola Osetoba, Technical Adviser on Sports to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, handed Popoola the appointment letter in her office at Oke Bareke, governor's office in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, October 16. Dr. Osetoba who said the appointment takes immediate effect, congratulated Popoola, urging him to serve diligently and ensure absolute loyalty in his new role. Popoola, with nearly eight years of journalism experience, expressed gratitude to God, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Ekiti State Chapter, and all who facilitated his appointment. A versatile media professional, Popoola has worked in government and private media establishments and runs his own news blog. AFUYE WELCOMES ERELU KEMI ELEBUTE-HALLE BACK TO APC

  In a significant development, former governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). CNG BUSES LAND IN EKITI STATE

FG LAUNCHES CNG INITIATIVE IN EKITI, PROMISES RELIEF FROM FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to easing the hardships faced by Nigerians following the fuel subsidy removal, with the launch of the Presidential CNG Initiative in Ekiti State. The initiative, aimed at providing affordable transportation, was unveiled by Engr. Michael Oluwagbemi, CEO of the Presidential CNG Initiative, at the Ekiti Conversion Incentive Programme and Bus Handover Ceremony held at the Ado-Ekiti City Bus Terminal. Speaking at the event, Oluwagbemi stated that the initiative is part of President Bola Tinubu's palliative measures to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians. SWAN Ekiti Chapter Celebrates Chairman's Appointment, Commends State Government

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ekiti State Chapter, has congratulated its Chairman, Alhaji Qozeem Oladapo, on his appointment to the board of the State Sports Development Trust Fund. In a statement signed by secretary Bisi Ogunleye, SWAN described the appointment as well-deserved, citing Oladapo's dedication and commitment to sports development and reportage in the state. The association prayed for wisdom and understanding for Oladapo to excel in his new role and pledged to continue promoting sports growth and development in Ekiti State. SWAN also celebrated the appointments of two other journalists: Chief Laolu Omosilade as Chairman, BSES Board, and Mrs. Fatimah Bello as a member of the Ekiti State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
