RUFUS GIWA POLYTECHNIC SETS FOR SECOND SEMESTER EXAMS

  The campus of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic is abuzz with activity as students prepare for their second semester exams, scheduled to commence on Monday, December 2, 2024. The Faculty of Social Sciences has released its timetable, following anticipation from all departments.  Notably, the school management has directed all faculties to handle the conduct of exams, marking a departure from previous practices. Students are advised to intensify their studies and preparations for the upcoming exams, which are expected to last for three weeks, concluding on December 18, 2024.  The exam period will span 14 working days. With the exams fast approaching, the polytechnic community is gearing up for a busy and intense period of academic activity.

EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT BOOSTS SPORTS SECTOR WITH NEW COASTER BUS

In a bid to enhance the sports sector in Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Oyebanji has purchased a brand new coaster bus to support sporting activities in the state. The bus was officially received by members of the sports sector at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, amidst joy and excitement.  Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development, expressed gratitude to her  principal for his commitment to youth development through sports. According to Dr. Osetoba, the new bus will be made available to all sports associations in the state for their activities.  She noted that this gesture is a testament to Governor Oyebanji's promise to provide necessary logistics to support athletes representing the state. In their reactions, sports enthusiasts maintained that this development is expected to boost the morale of athletes in Ekiti State, as well as enhance the state's participation in national sporting competitions.

EKITI FIRST LADY, OYEBANJI, WINS TRAILBLAZER AWARD AT SHEROES AWARDS 2024

  Prof Oyebanji  Ekiti State's First Lady, Associate Professor Olayemi Oyebanji, has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to women's empowerment and sports development.  She was awarded the Trailblazer Award at the Sheroes Awards 2024, a prestigious honor that acknowledges her visionary leadership and advocacy for women's empowerment across Africa. The award ceremony, held at the British Nigerian Academy in Abuja, also saw two Ekiti Queens players receive the "Women of the Match" award. Goalkeeper Comfort Dzer and Abosede Ebiesuwa were recognized for their exceptional performances in matches against Abia Angels FC and Nasarawa Amazons.
